Friday saw the arrival of National Grid coming on site to help with a few projects on the farm. The team spirit was evident from the offset and all of the sub groups cracked on with their individual tasks. Whilst one team helped to re-vamp the poly tunnels with new top soil and growing bays another was creating new cold frames to go along side the poly tunnels to help grow on summer plants. Another group was painting the manage fencing in preparation for its new surface to be put down soon. At the end of the farm another group was busy laying new mulch paths down around the vegetable beds to keep them easily accessible. The final group filed up the planters alongside the green house with top soil and planted out the ‘King Kong’ sunflowers, designed to create natural shade in the green house. A big thank you to all those that came to the farm and for all their hard work.
