On Sunday the long awaited charity football match arrived and the sun finally shone! There was a great turnout to the event and the car park was full! NBF FC played well and made the Birmingham All Stars work hard for their two goals. The final score was 2-0 to the Birmingham All Stars.
The tombola was busy throughout the day with a variety of prizes to be won, but the most wanted had to be the three cans of condensed milk!
The hot pink gazebo was nicknamed the ‘Pink Palace’ and kept everybody full of cake and raffle tickets. Alan Sadler kept the crowds entertained after stepping in as match commentator and auctioneer, unfortunately he is still waiting for the call to join the match of the day team! The auction gained a lot of interest and all the items sold well, with a particular bidding war for the blues shirt fetching £170! Overall the day was a huge success and as well as raising money for the farm everyone seemed to go home with a tan as well! NBF would like to thank everybody who attended the day and supported us in our fundraising. Overall the total raised was an amazing £1580!
