Bath Time!

Well what a week weather wise! Some brilliant sunshine lit up the farm and it finally felt like summer time! (although whilst I'm writing this the rain is currently torrential!) The sunshine has perked up all of the plants at the farm, and the cottage garden created by Amlin 2 years ago is thriving. The poly tunnels are full of tomatoes and cucumbers, as well as some other veg including pak choi. Some of the horses had a nice refreshing bath this week to help keep the cool. Hibernation…

Its been another week of us trying to hide from the weather! The plus side of this is that the show jumps have all received a welcome lick of paint and are now looking nice and bright in the field. We even had time to add some cool designs to some of the planks! On Thursday 18 Reynolds Cross School students came to visit the farm and have some lunch in Berry's Cafe. Sun bathing chickens and pots of potatoes!

I think everyone was as shocked as we were at the lovely day we had yesterday! We actually managed to do some fun things like grooming the horses, who are some where in between growing their winter coat early and trying to get rid of it again as soon as the sun's out! We even managed to do the gardening round in our t-shirts! The chickens also took  advantage of the weather and indulged in a group sunbathing session ... We are back to normal today though and are in our waterproofs from head to toe again! We are starting…

Boat anyone???

Well the weather is definatley testing out everyone's patience here at the farm! None of us know whether to wear waterproofs or sun cream! But as always there has been lots to do an its been yet another busy week. Firstly a huge thank you to a group of seven Lloyds bank staff who came to the farm to volunteer last week!
