Yesterday afternoon one of our project workers wrote a small blog about what he got up to yesterday....   Today on the farm there is no electric on in the new cafe because the builders are sorting out the new electrics in the barn. They are having to use  a generator to cook the food.   In the morning our group held a mini Olympics with Jimbo and Willow (two of our horses). The farm continues to develop…

The electricity cable is almost fully functioning and just needs a little more wiring to be done before it is fully functional! Woo Hoo! The manège where we work the horses is next on the list of things to get a make over and will also be up and running in the next few weeks! As well as using this ourselves we will hopefully rent it out to members of the public who wish to use it. We now have 30 eggs in the incubator to add to our flock of chickens in the near future, and although we love the brown chickens…

Berry’s cafe news…

We have now finally got a date for the electricity to be finished for Berry's cafe! Woohooo! For those of you that don't know, when the new building was finished there was a shortage in the electricity needed to supply it. This has meant that all the lovely food we have been eating so far has been cooked using only one oven, stove and microwave! The electricity will  make a huge difference to the running of the kitchen and will result in  it being open to the public for meals as well. The photo below is when work started back in June…

Beetles and Basil…

Olympic fever has hit the farm and lunch times now include lots of discussions on how many medals we have won and who is competing that day. The excitement has really created a buzz, so much so there was talk about basil being prepared to go to the olympics! You can see his reaction to the news below....
