The difference in weather during the space of a couple of weeks has been remarkable! Hopefully this week will see the real arrival of spring and we can enjoy some good weather! Minus the April showers if possible!
The heater which keeps the young plants warm during the spring cold snaps decided that it would be a good time to break down, and as a result we lost some of our young bedding plants unfortunately. The remaining plants got treated to a few nights in the office until the new heater arrived to put in the green house.
The gardening groups are still eagerly awaiting the arrival of the spring grass so that they can get out there and start cutting it! They have been busy in the mean time getting the log store topped up so that the logs can start seasoning for next winter.
The horses and chickens haven’t enjoyed the cold weather, and will be welcoming the sunshine this week even if it is still cold! To warm everyone up we loose jumped all of the horses on Friday. They seemed to be really enjoying themselves, especially Basil who is usually to lazy to move in the menage!
