Farming and fundraising with friends

October has been an incredible month at the farm where we have been joined by so many people lending us a helping hand. It started when we were joined by Wallace Robinson & Morgan solicitors who came and gave us a hand harvesting loads of produce from the vegetable beds as well as log splitting and weeding the vegetable beds. We are still in complete shock at the size of the parsnips which appeared ha ha!

Our second set of helping hands came from Jaguar Landrover who joined us over two days to help replace our vegetable patch fencing! This was an essential repair as those naughty rabbits like to get in and sample our veg! They also helped to create a new planting area at the bottom of the area using old hay bales to suppress the weeds.

Our final set of helping hands came from all those who supported us on our first ever race night! We did this as a joint fundraiser for the farm and for Niemann Pick UK. The weather didn’t play ball but it didn’t dampen the spirits of all those in the tent and we had a fantastic evening! The night raised £3000 in total which will be a huge boost to both charities!

As always we would like to thank everyone who has come along and supported the farm throughout the month of October. It has been a fantastic month and everyone is on a high at how much has been done around the farm!
