This blog is to say a huge thank you to all the students, teachers and parents at Eversfield School who chose the farm as their charity for the year. The students have been taking part in a huge amount of activities to raise money as well as regularly coming down and visiting us at the farm to see what we get up to on a day-to-day basis. They also designed and created our fantastic new sign at the front gates!
A couple of weeks ago Eversfield invited Kate our horticulture instructor to their open afternoon, where they presented us with a cheque for £14,566! We were all absolutely amazed by the amount raised and then to add to it we also received another cheque from Eversfield for a further £1000!
The money raised is going to be used to purchase a new big tractor as our current ‘big red’ is wanting to retire. Once again thank you so much to everyone at the school, we are still in total shock!!! We think that when the new tractor arrives its only fair that everyone at the school gets to decide the tractors new name so watch this space!
