Like the rest of the country the Family Care Trust has had to make several changes to its services due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Newlands Bishop Farm, Community Gardening Services and Dementia Blanning Day Centre have all had to temporarily close their doors to clients during this time. The staff at the farm have continued high levels of care by going out into the community to take project workers essential supplies, pick up prescriptions, do any shopping required and to check in to offer them any support they might require.
We have been able to offer so many essential supplies to our project workers thanks to the amazing donations from local supermarkets, small businesses and donations. You can see from the photos below how fantastic the donations have been. These donations have also enabled Berrys Cafe to produce hundreds of meals for NHS staff at Heartlands and Queen Elizabeth hospitals.
The animals at the farm are being looked after by all the staff during this time, and no doubt are wondering where all the project workers have gone that so lovingly look after all their needs.
We would like to thank all of the staff working for the Family Care Trust during this time, who as always are going above and beyond for our project workers. We would also like to thankĀ Morrisons, Sainsburys, Molls Bacon and Tescos for their fantastic donations which continue to arrive at the farm. If you are able to help us continue providing essentials to our service users and food to the NHS staff at Heartlands and QE please get in touch with us on 0121 770 1578. We hope your all staying safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
