Berry’s Cafe

Berry’s cafe not only provides all staff and project workers with delicious lunch, snacks and hot drinks throughout the week, it also provides valuable cooking training to our project workers.

We endeavour to utilise all the produce that is grown at the farm by the horticulture team down in the vegetable beds.  The cafe also stocks a variety of fair trade teas and coffees. Our new outdoor stretch tent has allowed us to now utilise our decking area all year round, the sides come off during the summer so that a breeze can pass through.

Fresh soup is made from scratch everyday as well as a main course, giving the project workers the chance to learn what ingredients goes into what they are making.  The kitchen environment provides project workers the opportunities to learn about food prep, hygiene in the kitchen, health and safety, customer service, menu planning and money handling.

As well as being a training kitchen Berry’s Cafe also has two training rooms where our project workers can take part in college courses run by Birmingham Metropolitan and Solihull college. These courses include Maths, English, ICT, Horticulture and Animal Care.

Why not pop in for a coffee and meet the team! We are open 10am-3pm Saturday and Sunday. Please check our Facebook page for accurate opening times before visiting as we are sometimes closed during the summer for external events.
