Farming In February!

We are already flying into February and we have lots to show you! To begin we are going over to Community Gardening Services (CGS) who are based in Chelmsley Wood. November at the farm

We missed an October blog! Woops! As always another busy month at the farm has come and gone in the blink of an eye! The wood work groups have been busy making also sorts of spooky props ready for the Family Care Trust Halloween ball which was held on 31st October. I think you will all agree that they made a fabulous job of setting the stage for the night! The barn has looked very haunted with all these grave stones! Action Filled August

We always start most of our blogs telling you how busy the past month has been but August has been spectacularly busy! The gardening teams have all been out keeping on top of local residents grass and hedges. The landscaping team over at CGS in Chelmsley wood have also been doing some pretty impressive garden makeovers as you can see below... N Power have come back to the farm again and helped to finish off the beach garden, some pruning around the chicken area and some fencing around the boundary of the farm. Community Gardening Service

This blog is dedicated to our Community Gardening Services which are based in Chelmsley Wood and at the farm. They are working flat-out at this time of year and so we wanted to demonstrate what a great job they are doing all over Solihull... Here is a before and after shot of a landscaping and fencing job carried out by one of our CGS teams. What a difference! And after ... A late February blog!

In our next blog we will hopefully be showing you some pictures of our new baby lambs! But as we write this they are still a week away from arriving and their moms are keeping us busy! We have set up lamb cam so that we are able to check on them through the night without disturbing them unless required. The budgies have been enjoying the sunshine and yesterday enjoyed our leftover salad from Berrys Cafe! Over the last couple of weeks 4 employees from Landrover have joined us to give up some of their time to do some volunteering…

A huge amount of thank yous to make!

Wow we have had an amazing couple of weeks at the farm! We have several massive thank yous to make.. Firstly to Landrover who have very kindly donated us a brand new defender to join our Community Gardening Service team over in chelmsley wood. We are still completely overwhelmed by this and would like to thank everyone at Landrover who made this happen and for their ongoing support for the farm and CGS. What a cool entrance... Our next thank you goes to Solihull Lions who donated £350 to the farm to help bring the cost of the ticket prices…
